Why Choose The RAID Limited Trimix Decompression Diver Course?

The RAID Limited Trimix Decompression Diver (45m) course is your first progression into helium-based diving, combining the familiarity of air/nitrox with the benefits of a small helium component to reduce narcosis, improve clarity, and enhance diver performance at depth.

This course is ideal for divers who want a safe, structured introduction to trimix without the complexity of full mixed-gas training. Building on your existing decompression skills, you’ll gain the confidence and competence to complete planned decompression dives to 45 metres / 148 feet, using a light trimix blend and up to two decompression gases, including 100% oxygen.

Stuart’s training approach ensures you gain mastery of gas planning, decompression discipline, and ascent control — key foundations for deeper trimix levels.

What This Course Helps You Achieve

  • Reduced narcosis & improved cognition at depth

  • More stable buoyancy and ascent control under stress

  • Efficient gas planning using helium components

  • Safe execution of planned multi-stage decompression

  • The technical discipline required for deeper trimix pathways

What You’ll Learn in the Limited Trimix Decompression Diver Course

Training blends theory, practical skills, and real-world decompression procedures to build your capability as a developing technical diver.

What This Course Helps You Achieve

  • Plan and execute decompression dives to 45m using Air/Nitrox/Light Trimix

  • Manage PO₂ exposure, END calculations, and safe helium blending limits

  • Conduct precise ascent profiles with controlled stops

  • Execute safe and efficient stage cylinder handling

  • Deploy SMBs and reels under task loading

  • Respond to extended-range emergencies and gas failures

  • Maintain stable buoyancy and trim during long decompression holds

  • Apply team protocols for advanced technical dive communication

This course builds your competence, confidence, and situational awareness as a new OC Trimix diver.
