Transition Your Existing Instructor Rating to RAID and Continue Teaching with a Modern, Standards-Driven Agency
Begin your transition to RAID’s global instructor framework.
The RAID Instructor Crossover is designed for qualified instructors from other agencies who want to teach under RAID’s modern, digital-first training system and adopt its streamlined, performance-based approach to diver development.
This crossover recognises your existing instructor rating while ensuring you meet the performance, safety, and standards expected of a RAID professional. The process is clear, structured, efficient, and fully aligned with RAID’s academic systems and in-water evaluation requirements.
Unlike traditional crossovers focused on paperwork and agency conversions, this process ensures that your teaching standards, water skills, and knowledge align with RAID’s standards — giving you a clean, confident start as a RAID instructor.
Your existing recreational instructor levels (equivalent-to-equivalent)
RAID programs within your current depth and training authorisation
Your existing specialities that align directly with RAID programs
The ability to progress into RAID technical, rebreather, and pro-level pathways
This crossover is structured for instructors who want to move into a modern training agency with transparent standards and strong emphasis on diver performance.
You will complete a structured transition covering the critical elements of RAID teaching, safety, and student management.
You will learn how to:
Use RAID’s online learning platform
Deliver performance-based academic sessions
Structure briefings and debriefings the RAID way
Assess diver knowledge according to RAID scoring and standards
You will be trained in:
RAID general training standards
Overhead, deep, and technical supervision parameters
Student ratios and performance requirements
Quality assurance and risk management expectations
RAID documentation, compliance, and training protocols
You will learn the values that distinguish RAID instruction:
High-performance diver skill development
Digital-first academics
Reduced friction, simplified administration
Precision in skill standards & repetition
Real-world readiness over rote demonstration
Suitable For: Active instructors from recognised agencies
